Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about how InsideWrk works, anonymity, and our community guidelines.
1Is InsideWrk completely anonymous?
Yes. Your identity is protected. We use your work email strictly for verification to ensure you actually work at the company you claim to. Your email is hashed and salted—meaning we do not store your raw email address, and your anonymous `@handle` is never publicly linked to it.
2Why do I need to verify my work email?
To maintain a high-quality, spam-free community. We want to ensure that insights shared about a company or industry are coming from real professionals who are actually in the trenches, not bots or bad actors.
3How do Channels work?
When you sign up, you select your primary industry (e.g., Tech, Medical, Health). Whenever you post an observation, it is automatically tagged with your channel. You can browse the global feed or filter by specific channels using the left sidebar to see what people in other industries are talking about.
4Can my employer find out what I posted?
No. Because we hash your email, there is no database table linking "John Doe @ Google" to "@NeonTiger_992". However, we kindly ask that you do not post highly specific, identifiable, or proprietary company secrets that could deanonymize you through context alone.
